A little about me
I'm Amanda Schneider, a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology. I work with adults and young adults across Canada through secure, confidential virtual sessions.
My path to therapy was shaped by a deep belief that everyone carries more than they let on — and that with the right support, people are remarkably capable of healing and growth. I've worked with individuals navigating anxiety, phobias, major life transitions, and the lasting effects of trauma.
Outside the therapy room, I'm drawn to long walks, meditation, physical activity, and the kind of conversations that leave you feeling a little more understood. I bring that same quality of presence to my work with clients.

My approach
I don't believe in a one-size-fits-all model of therapy. Every person is different, and every therapeutic relationship is its own.
Collaborative
We work together. You set the pace and the direction — I bring the tools, the questions, and a steady presence alongside you.
Evidence-based
I draw from approaches that have strong research support — CBT, DBT, ACT, meaning-making, and somatic-informed practices — tailored to what works for you.
Trauma-informed
Everything I do is grounded in an understanding of how trauma shapes the nervous system, our relationships, and our sense of self.
Non-judgmental
There is nothing you can bring to a session that will change the quality of care you receive. This is a space free of judgment.
